Our Current Favourite Podcasts
Running, walking, relaxing, cooking. All perfect settings to listen to a podcast. Whether it is mental health, physical health or catching up with the latest news, here are some of our favourites if you’re new to the podcast world or just looking for some recommendations.
We are form fans of Fearne Cotton and her podcast is no exception. Throughout umpteen episodes, Fearne chats to famous faces and friends about how they found their Happy Place and how they overcame the hurdles that life has thrown at them. Raw in places and joyous in others, this one can be an emotional rollercoaster. Our favourite episodes include Zephyr Wildman, Ricky Gervais and Kate & Rio Ferdinand. Real life and totally down to earth, this podcast tackles all the hard things as well as some lovely ones as well.
The goop podcast
When we are not binge watching the series on Netflix, the goop podcast is also a great source of information. From how to sleep well to whether or not trauma can be inherited, there are a whole range of subjects that are tackled throughout the podcast episodes. As soothing as it is fascinating, we are totally and utterly subscribed to new episodes of this one.
How to fail
Best-selling author as well as podcast creator, Elizabeth Day tackles the failures in life, that lead us to the good stuff. This one is super inspiring and showcases the things that haven’t quite gone to plan, which makes a change from a lot of things we see on the internet! Our favourite episode we listened to recently was with Glennon Doyle, author of Untamed. Have a listen for total realism!
The High Low
Pop culture but with a sophisticated twist, Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes host the show dedicated to the goings on in the world and round up books, letters, and things to watch amongst other things. Delightfully funny but educational all the same, we adore this podcast.
Brene Brown has spent over 20 years studying emotions and experiences of life and this podcast is a casual but very real look into both. Joined by guests on occasion Brene discusses everything from grief, finding meaning, over and under functioning and vulnerability to name a few.
We’re always on the hunt for new things to listen to so let us know what your favourites are and, who knows, maybe one day we will start our own…
