Essential Oils – DoTerra

Autumnal Oils

Brand Spotlight: DoTerra Essential Oils

We’re not too sure where Summer started and ended but we do know that the nights have started getting a little darker and we are already preparing to get cosy. Essential oils have long been a part of our everyday lives but we have recently discovered DoTerra and how to use oils with the seasons, here are some of our favourites as the days get that bit shorter.

Peppermint

Peppermint is already one of our go-to oils but with soothing digestive properties and a well-known sinus reliever, it is great for this time of year. As the temperature starts to drop, your body’s metabolism slows down, and so does your digestive system to conserve heat and energy. This can leave us feeling sluggish and a little slower than normal, so peppermint is a great pick me up. Either pop it in your diffuser or a dab on the skin to feel minty fresh and breathe in that goodness.

Lavender

Calming for the physical and emotional states, lavender is soothing and associated with better sleep. We know this year has been nothing short of strange, as kids go back to school, we start returning to work and winter months are pending Heightened stress and even anxiety wouldst be uncommon in this situation, so adding lavender to your oil blends or mixes can help relieve some of those heavier emotions.

Lemon

The oil with antiviral and antibiotic properties. Need we say more?

Lemon is also good for insect bites, which if you have been spending time outside during the evening, you may have fallen victim to. Lemon is a great choice and with a citrus scent, it leaves your home smelling fresh as can be if you choose to pop it in your diffuser.

There’s our round up and you can be sure we will be using them liberally throughout the next month or two. Check out DoTerra for their full range of oils and let us know which ones you pick out for Autumn.
